I have been using the Fisher Price Infant To Toddler Rocker for baby D for over an year now and I can’t wait anymore to write a great review for the same.
We received the product as a gift from one of our relatives as soon as baby D was born. The package itself looked posh and inviting, so Dr.H and I opened and assembled the pieces in no time.
The vibrantly hued, super-soft seater is spacious enough to keep the little one comfortable. The harness attached to it ensures optimal safety for the baby especially during rocking movements. In case you need to travel somewhere with the munchkin, this rocker can be your life-saver as it is handy, occupies less space when folded and miraculously works as a high-chair too, in addition to its existing features.
The seat pad is machine-washable, its material is extremely mom-friendly. In case of mild stains, the rocker can be made spick and span with just a quick scrub. Even after an year of exhaustive usage, our rocker still retains its new look, with minimal efforts from my end.
The removable plastic arch (that comes with two rattling toys) engages even the littlest babies for a longer period of time. To take the baby out, this arch has to be removed everytime. Not much of a work, I assure you.
Did I talk about the reclining options in the seat back, yet? It is such an enticing prospect which facilitates optimal comfort while sleeping and feeding. However there is a niggle that might prevent you from using this rocker for feeding the smaller babies – it is the absence of proper neck support. If their neck is not firm enough to independently hold the head, I insist you to use the product a little later.
The rocking movements can be stopped by enabling the front-stand, which has a good overall grip on all sides. Once the baby begins to take control of the rocking movements on its own, it’s very important to either supervise their activities (even if they are well buckled) or enable the front-stand to keep the baby safe from tipping over.
Batteries are required to enable the vibration mode, which promises a soothing effect to the infants. Baby D didn’t like this option from the beginning so we never really experimented the feature much, except for a couple of times when few baby visitors showed up.
Although the rocker is well designed to put any cranky baby to sleep, our little monster did not fall for the magic. Can’t complain the product though.
Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker is the best, thoughtful gift we have ever received for baby D. I’m emotionally attached to this branded piece of plastic because of its crucial role in the first steps of my parenting journey. The price is a bit high when compared to the rockers of other brands, but this one is more durable and can unquestionably be passed on as hand-me-downs to the younger babies in your family.
